Standings

Where each brand actually is

Not a popularity ranking. A read on whether the brand is delivering this specific season, based on what shipped, what sold, and what did not show up at all.

Buy deep

The Tariff Line

Why this season costs what it costs

The “tariffs didn't raise clothing prices” story was true through 2025 and is dead now. Brands absorbed duties on pre-tariff inventory and on margin. 2026 is the year that ended.

+3.9%US apparel CPI, year over year, July 2026 — against +0.3% for all of 2025
35.1%Average US apparel import tariff, Dec 2025, up from 14.7% in Jan 2025
71%Of fashion executives who planned price increases for 2026
50%US tariff on Indian exports — the reason Kartik Research's FW26 exists as it does

The call: the squeeze will be asymmetric. Luxury is holding prices to protect a value perception already under strain; the visible increases land in the $200–800 band — which is most of this catalog. Buy the craft-heavy, single-country-of-origin pieces first. They are the most tariff-exposed and the least likely to be quietly re-sourced to a cheaper border. Everything technical and multi-sourced can wait for a markdown.
